Two in one week!
Only a day after she started school, Abra came skipping in from the yard this morning (she's off school for the next two days, while the other 2/3 of the Kindergarteners "stagger" their first day of school today and tomorrow, before everyone goes on Friday). She was holding her partially-eaten apple, and could not contain her excitement.
"Mom, mom! I have a loose tooth! I have a loose tooth!" Sure enough. Dad was relieved to know that I have been stashing dollar coins when I get them for this eventuality, so as not to be caught short and leave the tooth fairy with a deadbeat reputation.
My baby is growing up! Sniff sniff...
