(Hardly seems like enough to justify a blog post, but what the hey.)
1. Had to go downtown to the jail today to see a couple of incarcerated unfortunates. The Justice Center was totally dead. If I didn't know better, I might think that the various Judges Corrigan, Sheehan, Clancy, O'Donnell, Gallagher, etc. were not coming in. Or, maybe they all just realize that lawyers and cops are notorious sport-drinkers, bowed to the inevitable, and didn't schedule much.
2. When I went downtown to see said incarcerated unfortunates, I went to park at my cheap surface lot. Except that it had "Special Event" parking rate in effect because of the stupid effing parade. So much for my cheap parking. Muttermuttermutter.
3. *DO* Irish people in fact drink more than others? Or is that just some silly, somewhat amusing but ultimately unfounded stereotype?
4. Well, along those lines, I give you (courtesy of my FB friend Brian Aubrey) a funny video clip. Those of you reading who are current or former cheeseheads will appreciate it even more. It's Lewis Black so it's obviously not safe for work or children, or persons offended by potty words.

I wonder whether Lewis Black does this exact same bit every place he goes, or if it really is only in Wisconsin? The references to brandy and Jaeger make me think that it is just Wisconsin.
